What is the task of Orthodox Christians living in America? Fr. Andrew Stephen Damick begins by noting that we must “witness Jesus Christ to this culture” and let people know that Jesus Christ is a real person, “a true presence with us. Loving us and accepting us just as we are. No matter who we are. But also loving us so much that He won’t leave us as we are.”

We must also witness that Orthodox Christianity is different from every other kind of religion in America. We have different teachings, different practices, a different way of worshiping, living, and praying. And these differences matter! We believe that, because God became man, we can become like God. This is a true calling and one we must share with others by first of all living it ourselves. Check out the video and let us know what you think.
